Mindfulness in Nature walk
Saturday 29th October 2022 09:30 - 11:30
Relax and recharge in nature this autumn, on this guided nature and wellbeing session
Join us on a guided Mindfulness in Nature walk – a chance to unwind and calm our minds as we connect to nature.
During this gentle walk, you’ll have the chance to experience how nature can support our mental health and wellbeing. As part of the session, you will be guided to mindfully connect to nature and explore what the season has to offer.
The walk is based on the principles of forest bathing, which is the practice of slowing down and immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of nature.
This has many proven benefits for our mental health and wellbeing – helping us to reduce stress and improve our energy levels..
This beautiful waterside park is a wildlife haven on the edge of Leighton Buzzard, featuring a lake with grass and wooded areas.
Your guide, Nicola, is a trained forest therapy and natural mindfulness guide. She has a background in ecology and helping people to connect with nature.
What to bring
Please bring clothing and footwear suitable for the weather, including an extra layer – in case you start to feel cold while moving slowly or sitting – plus a bottle of water.
You will be invited to sit during the session, so please bring along something lightweight to sit on, such as a mat or blanket.
