The Green Business Network: Opportunities from the Circular Economy

Wednesday 02nd November 2022

Doors open: 1:30 pm

Why:

has Marks and Spencer started renting clothes to customers?

does Samsung offer to repair customers’ mobile devices at home?

has IKEA committed to being a “fully circular business” by 2030 and what does that mean?

is Hugo Boss setting up a system to buy products back from customers and resell those items?

Because these businesses have all recognised and understood the value that circular business models can bring to their organisations – and to customers.

What is the circular economy and how can it help your business?

You might have heard of the circular economy and you might do a bit of recycling – both at home and within your business – but businesses that stop at recycling are missing out on a vast and valuable opportunity.

  • Why consider circular economy business models?
  • What can my business do, and how can circular economy benefit me?
  • How can I identify the best business model for my company?

Gerrard Fisher of QSA Partners will share his experience of helping a wide range of businesses to implement circular economy business models. QSA’s track record spans global companies such as adidas, Samsung, IKEA and Sky to smaller and start-up companies such as Naturalmat, FW apparel, Mu-Jo Fitness and Bandvulc.

At this session, Gerrard will explain why many businesses should shift to circular business models, the benefits of making the change, and how to go about it.

There will be a formal presentation followed by a workshop where you can work through an example with others to discover how circular economy principles could be applied to your business.

The seminar is free to GBN members. Others are welcome to attend at a cost of £35 per delegate to cover admin, venue and refreshment costs.
