Linslade Canal Festival

Saturday 29th July 2023 11:00 - 17:00

Doors open: 11:00 am

The ever popular one-day Canal Festival returns to Tiddenfoot Waterside Park on Saturday 29th July 2023. The festival celebrates and highlights canal life, conservation, the countryside and the traditional rural crafts of yesteryear and returns after a two year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As in 2019, with the continued growth of the event, the stage programme, stalls, food and bar within the Paddocks area will be open until 8pm with our headline act playing us through until the end of the festival. The peaceful Lakeside and historical Poplars areas of the site will close at 5pm.

Along the canal side a vibrant mixture of working, historical and trade boats will display and sell their wares moored amongst the colourful pleasure boats which visit the festival annually. The boats and the canal side offer the perfect opportunity to purchase a unique gift for a loved one or have a gentle afternoon browse away from the hustle and bustle of a busy shopping centre.

Throughout the day the main stage in the Paddocks will feature a mixture of traditional folk and English country music, together with some more contemporary numbers from local performers.

Around the site demonstrations of old English crafts will be found along with sellers of handmade and hand-crafted goods. With a wide range of food stalls and a licensed bar on site, eating/drinking whilst taking in the sights and sounds of the festival is one of the many draws for families of all ages.

The Canal Festival is supported by the Canal & River Trust, Central Bedfordshire Council, Cedars Upper School and Linslade Middle School alongside our charitable partners, stallholders and demonstrators.
