Greensand Ridge Walk: Old Warden Circular walk with The Cowshed Cafe (8 miles)

Saturday 18th July 2026 09:30 - 14:30

Join us for the sixth in our spring and summer walk programme along the Greensand Ridge Walk. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Bedfordshire’s premier walking route, and to celebrate this we have a programme of walks along the Greensand Ridge from May to September. Distances vary from 3-9 miles per walk, and it’s a great way to discover the walk if you haven’t walked it before, or a different way to enjoy it if you’re familiar with the route.

This walk will be an 8 mile guided walk. Meet/park at St Leonard’s Church, Old Warden. We will then walk through Old Warden and Ickwell onto the Greensand Ridge Walk before heading back towards Old Warden.

This walk is run in collaboration with The Cowshed Cafe. Our lunch stop will be at the cafe, so if you can, please do consider buying your lunch and hot drinks from the cafe.

Parking available at St Leonard’s Church, Old Warden. Donations towards the upkeep of the church welcome.
