Greensand Ridge Walk: Haynes Circular Walk with Wooden Hill Coffee (5.75 miles)

Join us for our final spring and summer walk programme along the Greensand Ridge Walk. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Bedfordshire’s premier walking route, and to celebrate this we have a programme of walks along the Greensand Ridge from May to September. Distances vary from 3-9 miles per walk, and it’s a great way to discover the walk if you haven’t walked it before, or a different way to enjoy it if you’re familiar with the route.

This walk will be a 5.75 mile guided walk. Meet/park at Haynes Village Hall, and we will walk along the Greensand Ridge Walk, through Chicksands Woods and back via Haynes. This walk is run in collaboration with Wooden Hill Coffee at Haynes. We will be stopping at Wooden Hill Coffee around lunch time, so if you are able please consider purchasing coffee/cakes/sourdough toast at Wooden Hill.

Parking available at Haynes Village Hall.

More information:

• Dogs are welcome on a short lead, providing they are able to walk the distance.
• Unfortunately, this walk isn’t suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
• The walk will go through typical Greensand Country landscapes, hence toilets will be few and far between.
• Under 18s welcome if accompanied by an adult.
