Greensand Country Landscape Partnership: Programme of Talks and Events 2021, Celebrating Greensand Country

GCLP are pleased to programme Stephen Coleman, Historic Environment Information Officer for Central Bedfordshire Council, to deliver this fascinating talk on Flitwick Manor Park.

Although focussing on the surviving Flitwick Manor Park this talk will include the pleasure gardens adjoining Flitwick Manor and also The Mount and Flitwick Wood, both originally incorporated in the Park.  Grazed by deer in the 19th century Manor Park includes a lake and the remnants of what were once an arboretum of national significance and a pinetum of European importance, around all of which several walks were laid out for visitors.
