Creative Outdoor photography and Natural Lighting (Free Workshop)

An exercise and presentation based workshop for enthusiasts which will cover the equipment needed to photograph birds, deer, insects, plants, landscapes and how best to capture old ruins and churches such as at Old St Mary the Virgin church at Clophill, the heathland at Cooper’s Hill Ampthill or the forest at King’s Wood, Heath and Reach.  Learn how to get the best from natural lighting, using cloudy conditions effectively, the position of the sun and different times of day to help make the subject stand out.

About Phil Richardson

Greensand Country Landscape Partnership is thrilled to commission photographer Phil Richardson to deliver a series of free workshops for those who live and work in Greensand Country.

A fun, relaxed photographer, film-maker and trainer with a creative eye and a natural style.  With an interest in documentary and surrealism Phil loves to share his knowledge and experience, whilst encouraging you to be confident in your own photography.

His twenty years experience as a professional photographer, videographer and trainer is in portraiture, interviews, architecture and products, in the heritage, education and construction sectors, in the UK, Europe and the lovely Malawi.  Developing his training skills at Ashridge Business School and as a A-Level photography tutor has been beneficial for his students and photographers.

The workshops are ideal for beginner and enthusiast photographers, giving you confidence to photograph the images you want with 1:1 training sessions tailored to your abilities and needs, Phil is here to help you learn.
