Flitwick is a popular town for commuters, with trains from here heading north to Bedford and south to London, Gatwick Airport and Brighton. There are several shops, pubs and restaurants and an open-air market selling local produce every Friday.

The Flitwick market has produce from local farmers, a baker, fishmonger, flower stall and a few other stalls. Friendly stall keepers and good value produce.

Flitwick Manor Park is a lovely place to walk the dogs. There are animal carvings in the woods for children to find and picturesque views of Flitwick Manor.

You can relax in open space and woodland at Flitwick Manor Park or follow the Flit Valley Walk along the River Flit and experience a quiet valley, rich in history and wildlife.

Flitwick Carnival takes place in June at Millennium Park and features a parade, exciting acts, musical entertainment and food stalls.
