Lazy Jack Storytelling Event

As part of Heathland Awareness Week we take you back in time on a storytelling adventure to discover how Rushmere Country Park looked hundreds of years ago. In a woodland glade you’ll hear the traditional folk tale of “Lazy Jack” and discover some of the special plants and creatures of the rare heathland habitat.

An event for children over 5 and their adult companions.

  • Meet at the visitor centre.
  • There will be a short walk to the woodland glade with a short section that is not on a surfaced pathway.
  • Ticket price includes a 10% discount in the café after the event so why not enjoy a cup of tea and piece of cake in the Tree Tops Café?
  • Please bring something to sit on for the storytelling.
  • Booking is required.
  • Not suitable for under 5s, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, maximum participation is 25 people so please secure a ticket for all children and adults attending.
  • No dogs allowed.
