Bug Hunt on the Heath

This event is part of Heathland Awareness Month and also part of our annual Bug Lab series of events

Hunt for mini-beasts and discover heathland wildlife, followed by a bug craft activity. All equipment will be provided with experts on hand to help with identification. This Bug Lab will take place at Rushmere’s Lord’s Hill – please park near the visitor centre and walk down to the bottom meadow using the footpath. Car park charges will apply.

  • Booking essential – no turn ups on the day please!
  • Tickets £3 per child (parking charges will apply)
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Not suitable for under 5s (underage siblings are welcome to accompany you and do not require a ticket but we ask that they do not participate)
  • Please wear long sleeves, trousers, and suitable footwear
  • Outdoor event with little shelter
  • No dogs please
  • Stay for as long as you like during session
  • While equipment and guides are provided, the session involves group work and sharing of materials
  • Please note there will be a short walk to the activity area and the event takes place away from the facilities at the visitor centre

Places are limited so you’ll need to book (and make sure you’ve read and accept our booking Terms & Conditions) – accompanying adults are free of charge so you only need to buy a ticket for each child taking part £3.
